MaskRom Mode

Introduction

MaskRom mode is the last line of defense for equipment to turn bricks. Forced into MaskRom mode involves hardware operation, there is a certain risk, so  only in the circumstances that device can not enter the Loader mode, SD card boot also  fails , you can try MaskRom mode.

Please read carefully and operate carefully!

ROC-RK3328-CC Enter the MaskRom Mode

principle:
Artificially short the Flash data pin and ground ping, the system will consider that Flash data error appears, thus it  will clear the Flash data.
The steps are as follows:
1、find the solder joints reserved for ROC-RK3328-CC (TP31, TP32), that is, the reserved CLK and GND pads on the board, as shown in the  following figure:

2、Disconnect all power from the device.

3、Pull out the SD card.

4、Use  one end of the data cable of USB male to male to connect development board.

5、Short the CLK and GND pads with metal tweezers and hold.

6、Use the other end of USB data cable to connect the computer.

7、Wait a moment, then release the tweezers and the device should be in MaskRom mode.
